Pretty sure no one misses Cleveland.

I left there in 87, and barring an emergency won't go back there to visit anyone.
It's really not an issue, because everyone I know there, can't get here quick enough.

Truly a gut punch that LeBron won't even consider coming to Phoenix. They can afford two max free agents AND resign Bledsoe without gutting their team, the owner has said he will pay the luxury tax if it means a shot at a title. Not to mention he's great friends with Eric Bledsoe and they share the same agent. I understand him wanting to redeem himself but there are too many question marks surrounding Cleveland.

Breaking: LeBron James Leaning Toward Joining Al-Qaeda
SPORTS NEWS IN BRIEF • Sports • NBA Basketball • ISSUE 50•27 • Jul 8, 2014

MIAMI—After viewing its latest pitch highlighting all he could accomplish with its organization, NBA power forward LeBron James confirmed Tuesday that he is currently leaning toward joining the militant Islamic group Al-Qaeda. “I’ve been doing my due diligence, and right now I’m really interested in [Al-Qaeda leader] Ayman al-Zawahiri’s vision and what he has already built over there,” said James, adding that while he has also considered offers from terrorist organizations such as Boko Haram and the Taliban, he believes heading to Al-Qaeda remains his best opportunity to defeat the West in the immediate future. “It seems like they’re open to doing a max deal, but I’d be willing to take a pay cut if that’s what it’ll take for them to bring in a big-time cell leader to work alongside me. Of course, I also can’t ignore their storied history and the fact that they have such a loyal following. I’m certain they have the personnel to take out both L.A. and San Antonio. Overall, I think moving to the Arabian Peninsula is the best option for me right now, and it will help take me to the next level.” At press time, James confirmed that his agent Rich Paul, who has been overseas negotiating with the group, has not been heard from in six days.

Human nature, bud, everyone misses their home when they are gone for many years.

Nope. I haven't been home to Miami long term since 2004, although I visit on occassion. At some point you have to cut the apron strings and set out. I miss the place I grew up in, but the place I grew up in is a cesspool.

Also, the thing is, Cleveland's not his home. His home is Akron. Yes, it's nearby Cleveland, but there's a difference between the two. Also, he visits every summer, not sure he's exactly home sick. I guess Blake Griffin's going to the Thunder since he's from Oklahoma. I'm sure Tony Parker wishes the NBA had a team in France so he could go back there. I wonder why Wade didn't go to Chicago in 2010, because he should've been home sick.

Lebron needs a new agent, not one who has his own secret agenda, one that has his clients best in mind.

You may be right, but I just don't see it.
These 3 men have been through some hellacious times together for the last 4 years.
They will share that bond forever.
Really, unheard of in the sports world before.
One series loss to the Spurs won't change that bond.

Don't get me wrong, James owes them nothing as far a planning the rest of his career, but he's not going to screw them out of their livelihoods in the process.
I don't get the fact that people are saying he is screwing Wade and Bosh monetarily. That is fiction. Sure Bosh and Wade opted out of $40 million plus over the next two years but I promise you that both will get at least that much and probably 20 to 100% more of guaranteed money over the next four or five years. So there is no screwing of the best buddies monetarily. Now, as far as turning his back on his teammates and saying you boys who helped me win two titles and get to 4 consecutive finals (something not done in 30 plus years and by only two other teams or my buddies that helped us get the second longest winning streak in NBA history) are not good enough...that is the real dis...and that is what he would be saying by going to Cleveland. It is not about money with millionaires but ego and your word and commitment to each other. I promise you that after free agency, Wade and Bosh will be better off $$$ wise. However, if Lebron leaves, it will likely feel like a kick in the gut. However, that may motivate the two gentlemen to keep James from his unfinished business in another uniform. Very interesting decision coming for Lebron James.

You know what would be funny even though it probably won't happen? If LBJ leaves and Miami sign Carmelo & re-sign Bosh and kick Lebron's ass every year in the playoffs

They won't win a title with Melo, though.

True on Bosh, even if the Rockets did pull their offer, other teams would offer him a max.

Wade will never find a team to give him 40M / 2.

Sure, Riley would honor his word and give him whatever he promised, but no way Wade opts out unless he believed James would be there for at least a couple, and hopefully all the 4 years he'd be extended for.

Without James, he might not want to play more than 2 more years, and if that became the case, then this opt out will cost him probably 10-15M, depending on how his contract is structured.

I disagree. With that roster and a few more decent role players for cheap, they can do it.

If they couldn't do it with Lebron this last year, Bron > Melo, especially defensively. Now this year will be different, but there might be even more competition this year.

They couldn't do it with Lebron last year for 3 reasons

1) We ran into the hottest team in the league for the last 3 months or so.

2) Spurs were always a terrible match-up for us even in 2013. We would've easily beat OKC, LAC, or Houston in a series.

3) The role players sucked and we've already improved and got younger by adding 3 players

Lebron is not going to Cleveland

Not unless they make a big move FIRST

He's not signing up to that roster as it currently is. And he's not going to go there because they have a "plan" - they will have to get the pieces FIRST

If you're Lebron, who do you trust more? Pat Riley, or an owner that had his own personal rant against you on the team website for 4 years?
