After watching Pitt/Cincy, I've gone from 75% to 95% confident we'll beat Pitt. Cincy, on the other hand, is inconclusive. Not sure if good or Pitt just sucks really bad

There is no way that Pitt's talent is as low as their results. WTF is going on up there? I'll admit I only watched the first half, but Pitt continously shit themselves. Bad turnovers, penalties, and players were in terrible positions on defense. They couldn't hardly run, but they sure couldn't stop the run. The best player on their team might be the punter. They're Duke terrible right now (although Duke is looking much better than usual early this season).

I watched the Pitt-Cinci game last night too. Pitt looked pretty awful. I think they must just really suck this year. Cincinatti, on the other hand, I think may present a little bit more of a challenge. Nothing I don't think BF's D shouldn't be able to handle. The Bearcat's skill players (Munchie, Winn, and Abernathy in particular) looked pretty good out there. Munchie's skillset kind of reminds me of a poor man's Denard Robinson (with the dreads to boot). As far as Pitt goes, Cinci's D Line was in their QB's face all night. I wouldn't be surprised if our Dline gets 5-6 sacks that game.

I'm not worried about either of these teams. I don't expect us to totally blow out Cincinnati but I don't think that it'll be that close either. Pitt on the other hand ... you shut down their running game and it'll be ugly.

I don't know if I've ever seen tackling worse than watching Pitt last night. It was absolutely terrible. As far as Cincinnati goes, they do seem to have some athleticism, but their QB did have some trouble throwing the ball, even in simple situations. Pitt was also able to move the ball at times on Cincy's D, they just made stupid plays that cost them points. If we force Munchie (wtf?) to try and beat us with his arm, I don't think we should have a problem with either of these teams

I usually don't like making fun of other players for getting in trouble with the law, but after all the shit I've read of people saying crap about journell, and how VT is just thugs and always has been/will be, and how beamer has no class for letting him play..... I gotta spread some back to the world.

I hear ya Matt and agree ... Every team has kids who have some "character issues" ... it's pretty obvious that there are programs that are very good at covering the shit up though. I think that it REALLY started with Marcus Vick. He almost completely un-did in just a season or two what his brother did for VT.
