Poor Tennessee-Martin. They won their game against Northwestern State, and nobody cares because it was NCAA Thursday. On that note, here's my take on yesterday's NCAA action (and I can do so because I still have all of my Elite 8 picks).

Arkansas over Wofford: The Razorbacks are VERY lucky.
North Carolina over Harvard: The Tar Heels are very, VERY lucky.
Both #8 vs. #9 match-ups: Wow, those were awesome games, weren't they?
UCLA over SMU: Larry Brown's players were really, REALLY stupid during the Bruins's final shot.
Utah over SFA: As we know, #12 seeds tend to have good luck against #5 seeds. WHY COULDN'T IT HAVE BEEN THE LUMBERJACKS TO DO IT?!

And on that note, thanks to the stunners that UAB and Georgia State pulled off, I'm now down 3 Sweet 16 teams. Ah... I'll be fine as long as I get the Final 4 right.

3/20 tournament slate:
CIT: High Point @ Eastern Kentucky (7:00)
NIT: South Dakota State @ Vanderbilt (9:30)

Unfortunately, these 4 teams have to compete against not only the men's NCAA tournament, but the woman's NCAA tournament as well. But much like all of the NCAA teams, these 4 want to continue their seasons, so stay tuned.

3/20 tournament recap
Only 1 upset happened yesterday in the NCAA's (Dayton over Providence), and beyond that it was all chalk. Now we have no #12 seeds left, Louisville and Maryland scared out of their wits, and the "Battle of Kansas" set for Sunday.

As for the other tourneys, Vanderbilt beat South Dakota State in the NIT 92-77 and Eastern Kentucky held off High Point 66-65 in the CIT. Now more fun will be had tomorrow, I betcha.

3/21 tournament results
Despite what some people are thinking, some people DO care about these tournaments. Mainly because they want their season to continue. Before I touch on the NCAA's, this is what happened yesterday:

NIT: Miami over Alabama 73-66
CIT: Canisius over Bowling Green 82-59
Louisiana-Lafayette over Sam Houston State 71-70
UT-Martin over USC-Upstate 60-49
Northern Arizona over Sacramento State 78-73

And now, my thoughts on yesterday's NCAA action.

Georgia State and UAB goes down: And UCLA and Xavier takes full advantage to go to the Sweet 16. Which is good news for Steve Alford.
Notre Dame beats Butler in an OT-thriller: Along with North Carolina beating Arkansas, this makes the ACC 9-0 so far in the tourney. 9-0... Wait a minute!
NC State leaves Villanova shell-shocked: I'm disappointed! But I didn't have 'Nova in the Final 4, so I'm not gonna cry about their loss.
Utah makes their first Sweet 16 in a decade: But I still kinda wanted SFA to be the one to beat Georgetown.

And, oh yeah, Kentucky is still going. Yawn...
