This type of stuff pisses me off so much - I can imagine how legit it might seem - especially in MD with the Bay Bridge and so many other toll road options.

I have EZ Pass on my truck windshield. Last fall I went to eastern Long Island and in April I went to Florida. If for some reason you go through a toll and it doesn't read the EZ Pass they send a request for payment in your snail mail. They don't text you.

The first time I received one of those scam texts I started to go onto my EZ Pass account and then thought .... NO!! I Googled it or used Snopes to check it out and saw it was a scam. Pisses me off too.

Correct dad, When I was in FL it is called Sun Pass or something but my EZ Pass worked there. I did keep an eye on my mail for a couple of weeks to make sure I did not receive a letter saying I owe $xx dollars.
