my wolf is very smart like his brother. his brother leo could change channels on the TV , favorite show ? anything on natgeo but dog whisperer was his favorite tonka the younger can open doors knobbed ones as well . he is only 9 months old

That's awesome, can you post pics? How are they with other dogs? There's got to be a reason they aren't legal in some states. They have not been domesticated for thousands of years like dogs have.

they are great with other dogs , leo is a 165 lb tonka 70 lbs . both are gentle loving dogs i will see if i can dig up some pics

165? LOL. Our shepherd Terra is 106 and that is plenty big for me.

That's interesting about the wolf and shedding. Our long coat shepherd has, wait for it, a really long coat too. But she only sheds badly in spring amd fall when she blows out it out. White dog rains fur 24/7/365 and our previous dog, shepherd/collie, was much worse.

I love wolves, a friend had a half wolf half husky. Does a pet wolf behave differently than a pet dog?

Aside from the constant escape attempts, its all in how you raise them. Wolves tend to be much more pack oriented though as a rule. I would NOT walk up to the 12 year old walking a full grown timber wolf and scare the child unless you really think you can take the wolf.

my wolves are very people friendly . you can walk up behind them and they dont get spooked they love kids and other animals especially leo . as big as he was he was very gentle

thank you but all it really is , is showering them with love . they stay in the house , my family loves on them all day and we give them exercise . wolves , even wild ones love their chests scratched . they love it

Wow - just saw this as I don't frequent this thread. The coloring on your dog is very similar to mine except for the face (& he was much smaller than yours). Unfortunately - he had some issues early last week & had to be put down last Fri. - he was slowly dying anyhow - he was @ 12 & will be greatly missed. Thanks for the pics.
