I only saw the 2nd half of the game last night between Denver and the Jets. I was interested in see Rypien play as I had advocated for him as a possible late round draft choice. He went undrafted.

He made some really nice throws last night and a couple of headscratchers. Was fun to watch the nephew of Mark Rypien. He looks like at worst case a long time backup.

Rypien can make a lot of money as a lifetime backup and most likely leave the game at the end of his career with good health.

Agree. If he can clean up those picks he could start somewhere. He made some really nice throws.

Worst case he makes a boat load of money backing someone up and as you said leaves healthy.

We had a boat load of those guys Ramey - 8 years, Frerotte - 14 years, J Campbell - 9 years

LOL, I forgot Chase Daniel before I hit send. We cut him out of camp but he lasted 10 years in the league.

If not the best pitcher I have ever seen he is right up there but I think he would be my number one pick. I remember that 68 season so well and that causing MLB to lower the mound. I think Bob Gibson did alright when they lowered the mound too.

RIP Joe Morgan. One of my all time favorites. Great fielder with his tiny little glove. He hit with power and for average. One of the great base stealers of all time.

And who can forget his left arm flapping like a chicken wing while he stood in the batter's box waiting for the next pitch? As a 2nd baseman I tried to mold my game like Joe but I didn't even come close. I can't believe how many former great baseball players we have lost just in the past month or two. RIP to another great one.
