You just answered my question before I asked you which is what would the Nats have to give up to get Bryant if it comes down to this? I think we are about to see the Cubs dismantle before our very eyes which is okay with me as a Cardinals fan since they are our biggest rival. Yes, Rizzo has got to be pissed. This offseason is shaping up to be one of the most active in memory when it comes to players changing uniforms and it has just started.

I'm sure you have heard "Once a Marine always a Marine." Well, that was me once upon a time. It's also true that "Once a Cardinal always a Cardinal" once upon a time too as they drafted me and gave me a chance. I made it all the way to Triple A Memphis but the bus stopped for me there. I almost got called up to St. Louis when their 2nd baseman got injured but they decided to call up a pitcher instead. Yes, St. Louis is definitely a baseball town and trails only the Yankees and Dodgers in attendance for many years. I did play with and against some of the great ones and I guess my claim to fame is getting a few hits off Bob Gibson in some of our intra squad games in spring training in Florida.

Woooow! Good shit man! The fact that you got as far as you did says a lot. Pro ball players are the top 1% of the top 1%. Most people would have a better chance getting struck by lightning than making the pros. Once again, respect.

Thank you my friend but it wasn't good enough as far as I was concerned. The good news is that when one door closes another door opens in life. During my time in Memphis I became good friends with a CBS Sports reporter who covered our games. He got me an interview with a CBS VP who hired me on the spot which resulted in a 20 year career with CBS television which allowed me to retire in my mid 40s with enough financial security to live two lifetimes on God's earth even though I knew HE would only give me one. Life takes some amazing turns for all of us.

I'm with you on Riley and Dallas. The lone exception is Dallas making the play-offs, winning one game and saving JG's job.

Looks like a near certainty to me. My question if true is, what happens to Dalton? A one year mentorship or trade bait! Personally, I never like starting first year QB's so that mentorship would be my choice. The difference is, I hope that they are seriously preparing him to start and none of that Jay Gruden to Haskins BS.

Although it was a great half of football the combines. Maybe someone loves him like Dan and Bruce loved Griffin and trade up to get him. It is supposed to be a good QB draft so if they get the right offer they may move down and take one of the other guys.
