Pretty cool GIFs of very basic football plays. Like most play designs they work multiple depth levels and try to spread across the field. What the play shows is pass routes but what it does not show is many times the routes are option routes depending on the leverage of the defensive secondary, number of men in the box, defensive scheme shown by the defense. Receiver 2 is running a short in but based on the defense he might that into an out. The wide receivers might adjust to a corner or turn it into (old folks will like this) a button hook. There are so many variables. Pretty cool though.

He wasn't a Redskin but Lamont Jordan from my HS, Maryland, Jets and Raiders is the new play by play analyst for the Terps on radio working with Johnny Holiday. I am happy for a good guy who deserves it. When he retired he came home and helped with our kids at Suitland.
