Interesting tid bit.
Scherff was one of them.
Scherff was one of them.
Dean, your whole argument was that he was a bad pick and that is why we drafted Smith and signed Gillette. His play has nothing to do with either of those actions. We took both those players because they are good football players. Trent has played well in certain situations and has contributed positively to the team. No-one was arguing that he was a great OLB. If we were to draft an OLB at 21 this year, would you argue that Smith was a bad pick and we are trying to replace him?
Smith had success why would I want to replace him? Murphy was a bad pick at OLB. He has to reinvent his body to stay on this team at DE. IT just proves that the organization soured on him at OLB like I said before. I hope he makes it as a DE.
I applaud him for gaining the weight and moving to another position. How was I supposed to know hat 3 months ago?
Great. What if he decided not to put on the extra wait and stayed at olb? He wouldn't be a factor just like I said. He needed to switch positions to be a factor.
if "if " was a 5th we all would be drunk . he didnt need to switch positions because he was a factor for 26 starts in 32 games who is to say smith wont move to d.line in some formations (in fact he has ) does that mean he isnt a factor ? say gallette isnt what we think he is then what ?
the point i am making is just because you switch a position doesnt make you a bust as sherf has shown since you think he was drafted as a tackle when i had him as a OGMurphy is putting the weight on for a reason. He is moving to the dline. His goal is to be 290. He is not going to play OLb at 290. Of course he needed to switch position this year.

that is totally different. Scherff started as an OG this year and will stay there for his career. Murphy started as an OLB and had to switch b/c of his ineffectiveness. Plus there are better players on the roster in Gallette and Smith.
not different at all you just dont like murphy
Of course it is. Murphy played as an OLB. Scherff was never a OT.
then how come you come with all this BS on how sherf "failed in TC " at RT then if he didnt play tackle ?
this has more to do with getting the best players on the field not some talent BS
Im talking actual regular season starts. The fact is if Murphy stayed at OLB he would not be on the field this year.
no you are just trying to manipulate things because you dont like murphy . the goal is to get the best 11 on the field
lol. what manipulate? If Murphy succeeded as an OLb do you think the Redskins would ask him top put on 30 pounds and move him to DE?
