Nebraska running through the Big 10 next year has a far better likelihood than Ole Miss running through the SEC.

I mean, neither of those are bound to happen obviously.........and I understand that Ole Miss can count on a good year, but fer the love of God.

50-1 sounds about right to me.

The thing about Nebraska is we shoot ourselves in the foot. We don't lose games due to simply not being able to play at the level of the elite.......we lose games due to simply doing the dumbest shit.

The Big 10 is a shitty shitty conference. A team like Nebraska is one smart playmaker away from taking the next step.

I hate to keep using Ole Miss as the example here, but seriously. They scratched out a bowl win over GTech to finish 8-5 and next season they have a stretch where they face Alabama, A&M, Tennessee, LSU, and Auburn in consecutive weeks.

I give them no better than 100-1 odds of even getting through that schedule......

You should check out Iowas schedule JJM and get back to me on that one... LOL. We may start 10-0 and not be one lick better than we were this year. First 6 league games are Indiana, Maryland, Illinois, NW, Minnesota and Purdue. The we ened the year with Wiksy and Nebraska, both at home. Completely miss OSU, MSU, Michigan

Not sure why, but after 10 years now some Husker fans are still in the mindset that teams like Minnesota, Northwestern, and Iowa are automatic wins. They fail to realize that Nebraska plays to a similar level on the field.

It's all been a fluke and a learning curve. A football fairy is gonna come along and sprinkle elite coach dust on Pelini and this years gonna be different. You'll see.

I think the fairy hates Pelini for scaring people.

Well fans will be fans. I think Wisconsin at 25-1 is a GREAT GREAT bet. The Badgers realistically should be 12-0 next year IMO. They really only have 1 semi tough road game ( @ Iowa ) and miss ALL the better teams in the league and get Neb at home. Id be SHOCKED if they are worse than 11-1 next year.

Agreed. By schedule it looks like 1. Wisconsin, 2. Iowa, 3. Nebraska for the West rep in the CCG.
