Sam Adams is a good one. Maybe their best beer period. Spaten is another one I like really well.

These are my very first oktober fest. I also bought 1x6 of Shiner Wicked Ram IPA.

I started with the wicked ram IPA. it was delicious. I am currently drinking the Shiner Oktoberfest, and my first impression was:

Yuck, this is fucking disgusting. Fat yeasty pussy probably tastes better than this shit. But as my taste buds got used to it, i sort of like it. Its a bit skanky and sweet, but its ok. Can't wait till i try the others. Pretty underwhelmed at the moment, TBH

np. i enjoy drinking beer, and this is my first Oktoberfest, as i mentioned. IYW, i just cracked open the sierra nevada and...

first impressions:

Sam Adams is my go to Oktoberfest too. IMO US breweries make marzens too bready, at least that is my opinion. Had one from Devil's Backbone that tasted like a biscuit.

Spaten is still my go to Oktoberfest. Couldn't wait for it to arrive on tap at the bar I worked in college and the slight overlap when SN Celebration would come on as well. Nothing like getting a pitcher of both and having a good afternoon watching football and playing pool/darts.
