No, that’s pretty much the way it will work. After trying, and failing, to find a top rated coach (because no one in their right mind and any other option will come here), they will offer it to O’Connell and he will accept. Similar to the Zorn hire.

Bruce had three future head coaches in the building, they are all young and currently doing well with their respective teams. After those three misses, Bruce isn't going to let O'Connell become the 4th to leave here and prosper. Unfortunately for Bruce, there's a couple of things that's instrumental in the bad karma and abject failure that this team is experiencing.

Yeah, I mentioned this a few weeks ago in a thread where someone commented that we have never had a HC under Snyder leave here and get a job as a HC afterward. My comment was something like we are a breeding ground for assistant coaches who go on to become good HCs. Snyder's coaching tree might have more/better HCs than Gibbs and Belichek.

None of it was Snyder's coaching tree. These guys all came from "other" coaching tree's that ended up with Shanahan & Gruden. Has nothing to do with Snyder and don't give him any credit for anything as he doesn't deserve any credit. He is keeping Allen around, who most if not all fans despise and likely will not come back to games until Allen is gone.
