It will be interesting to see how the Military handles this. I'm happy for the people of Egypt because they're getting what they want with Mubarak resigning. However nobody knows who will be in charge in the future & how they will rule the country.

I'm totally a sucker for South Pacific. Actually, I love mostly anything Rogers and Hammerstein did.

Also? Phantom totally beats Les Mis on stage.

Which is pretty dumb... Shoulda been thought out. Watch some extremist regime take over now.

Well Phantom has a bit more pizazz for an on stage show. Explosions and falling chandeliers. But seeing a showing of Les Mis with a very strong male cast is just epic. I last saw it a few summers back downtown and the two lead males (Jean Valjean and Javert) were just unbelievable. I mean, I the suicide scene was epic, Who Am I as well...and per usual I cried when they sang Bring Him Home. But, my opinion is probably this because I've yet to see a high end performance of many shows on stage. I mean most of my experience is watching HS productions.

anything goes is a real good one

My school did that my senior year, and I really enjoyed it. My favorite that my school did (because it was a real challenge) was Into The Woods. Very odd show, creepy, but I was impressed my school pulled it off (unlike those rich kids that pay for people to build their sets and do sound/effects and win the awards. chumps)

I'd love to see Damn Yankees! again. I only saw a high school production of it and the movie that came out in the 50's.

The funniest part of their production of Into the Woods was that the guy who played the wolf played it up to it's full perversion. And he was the king pervert of my HS. It worked well for him...and creeped out the entire audience. It wasn't the most family friendly show however.

Not on stage sadly, but I did see both movie versions (Brodrick and Lane version was actually pretty funny, I really like Nathan Lane though). I enjoyed those.
