I don't know. But democratization tends to be more long-lasting when it grows organically than when it is forced or imported.

not only this, but studies show that in many cases states democratizing have been more aggressive than an authoritative state.

Well, they're asking the US to stay out of it, and basically they're saying to give them time and be patient and they can work it out. That in itself is impressive and gives me a lot of hope for them.

Anyway, glad Mubarak is gone, but I fear the cure is going to be much worse than the disease. Gotta wait and see. If the army is in control, that might be good for us. USA pumps alot of money into their military.
