You got it all figured out... I really want to make it to Hawaii soon.

do it. Take a buddy with you, you'll have a blast. And if you're ever on my island. Holler.

Abe Simpson: My car gets 40 rods to the hogshead and that's the way I likes it...

I need security in a car as well... You get hit in a smart car, you're dead.

I know a CRV isnt that big but that part of the reason I got one when I did. At the time I got it I was driving 45 miles on I95 every day. I'd see accidents all the time. What I was driving at the time, a Sentra, was nice but small and low to the ground. So I traded it in and bought a Sentra at least I was a bit higher up in the CRV.

I do understand and accept the fact that Hyndai's are not bad cars anymore but I do not think I could ever get one. A Hyundai was my first car and it was awful. It lasted just over 5 years and not even 60,000 miles and it had problems that were going to cost thousands to fix. So I do not plan to ever let them have any more of my money.

Well, I guess that keeps the prices low on these high quality cars for the rest of us, then. :)

I've owned Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai and Saturn cars in the past. The only make I've had any notable problems with, is Saturn.

My little teenage cousin lives in Kona. Go drive two hours and slap some sense into her for me, would you?

I'd do it myself but I was just there last year. I'd love to go back soon but I have too many other trips planned this year.

My '03 Envoy XL is wonderful on gas. :ballchain:

Fortunately is a 6 cylinder and my commute is down to 3 or 4 miles. For those who live in Pittsburgh, I did New Ken to Robinson every day for 5 years. It was the worst. Now I drive to a park and ride lot near my house and take the bus. On the plus side, wear and tear + gas on my vehicle is down to a minimum. On the minus side, did I mention I take the bus?

If there was a bus route anywhere near me to my work, I would take it.

Its actually not all bad, Jeff. I work in downtown Pittsburgh now for the electric company. If I drove, it would 45 minutes in and 1:15 home. on the bus it take 1/2 hour, they have busways all over Pittsburgh so there's no traffic.

I'm 38, and the first time I ever rode public transportation was 6 months ago. It could be a lot worse. As far as my car goes, 17 MPG no car payment>30 MPG with car payment. (That was one of Dark's fancy math equations)

The day I sold my car was very liberating. I so don't need a car. City living!

If I worked in the same city I lived, I would just bike it.
