Man what a group of talented young players. Our starting pitching however, no so much.

We have Burnes, Rodriguez and Kremer. Not sure Bradish will hold up when he returns, Means hurt again. We need pitching once again.

Makes me wish we could've gone harder after Jordan Montgomery on a one year deal with incentives. Seeing Kremer, Wells and Irvin out there 3 out of every 5 days isn't exactly inspiring confidence in the starting staff.

I feel as if this was the year we would "go for it" by adding Burnes but after seeing the rotation threw several times, not so much.

Cowser has been nothing short of spectacular so far. Waiting for his teammates to get on board.

Great to see Cowser lighting it up.

I fully expect Gunnar to turn it around, and hopefully Holliday’s first hit gets him to relax a little bit.

Kjerstad might be up soon too.

Exciting times.

Glad Jackson finally got his first hit today. Hopefully with that pressure off of him he can relax and do like he has in the minors.
The one that’s really concerning me is Hays.

I agree on Hays and think he see's the talent and is feeling some pressure. Great time to be an O's fan!

Wish Mateo felt that way. At least he didn’t look like it on Saturday. He looked lethargic out there at 2nd and missed balls I feel like he could’ve had with a little effort.

Is Hays really a plus defender? I know Mullins is, and Santander is not, but is Hays?

I know he’s often a defensive substitution….

I think we may be nearing the end of the road for Urias (who absolutely is a plus defender - see multiple Gold Gloves) and Mateo, possibly Hayes too.

Cant be one dimensional witg several prospects chomping at the bit…

The other possibility is that they’re going to put some in a trade to maybe get another frontline starter, which would be good to have since I don’t feel like Burnes will be here after the season ends.

This team has a very young nucleus that just may convince Burnes to stay long term. With the Wells injury (Suarez pitched great today) and Irvin's struggles, we need another #2 anyway, and as insurance for Bradish as I'm not counting on Means at all.
Maybe a combination of Urias or Mateo and a top 20 prospect for a #2 or #3 type pitcher?

Maybe Mateo gets a few more AB's (to showcase) while Jackson sits for a minute as he is struggling mightily.

If we do, we’ll likely have to wait until free agency since that’s what Boras likes to do with his clients.
Definitely would have to include one of the top prospects plus one of those ss’s. Maybe two, pending on the pitcher and how long his deal is.

Suarez, from literally out of nowhere?!!!

Best game pitched by a starter not named rodriguez or burnes.

Would like to see Kremer step up today with a solid start. Burnes Saturday then the dreadful Irvin Sunday. It's hard to complete sweeps when you have a weak link in the chain however, this would be possible if our guys continue to rake.

At least the good thing is that it sounds like Braddish had a good rehab start in Bowie the other night. So hopefully Irvin can get sent to the bullpen sooner rather than later.
