This is getting silly. Tough season so far. Still plenty of games left but this team has absolutely no life to it

Why the heck is Buck even still sitting in the dugout?
Most other managers would've tried to, or wanted to get tossed a few innings ago just on basic principle and to fire up his team.
I'm both, perplexed and pissed off.

Wake the hell up, Buck FFS!

This HP ump has been just so damn awful all game long it's beyond infuriating.

Was there for the first 3 on that list. Haven't been out there for years, I'm slacking. Subway Series always used to be on a weekend, tough getting there on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
They’re gonna be doing it again with 2 more mid week games over in the Bronx in late July. Maybe the whole Subway series inter league thing has lost some of its shine. That said, the crowds at both ballparks along with the hype will still be large anyway in NYC no matter what, which makes a weekend marquee matchup somewhat unnecessary these days….imho

Mets 1B Pete Alonso (left wrist bone bruise and sprain) is hitting in the indoor cages. “He feels good. Making a lot of progress,” Mets Mgr Buck Showalter said... “We think he'll be joining us before long.”




On Deck...

The Mets look for their third straight win as Kodai Senga (6-3, 3.34 ERA) will take the mound for the Mets in the middle game on Saturday, while old foe Adam Wainwright (2-1, 5.79 ERA) gets the start for the Cardinals. First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on WPIX on television and on WCBS 880 AM radio.
