We very realistically could and should be 7-0.

Yep that's true....and the entire team knows that as well.....which is a good thing.
All they have to do is play hard in every inning of each game...and stay healthy for the long haul.
There will always be bumps in the road throughout the season obviously.
Gotta play through them and make adjustments whenever necessary, and don't lose focus.
Sounds like a cliche, and it's always easier said than done, but this group seems to really get it..and that's definitely a very good thing.

After their 7 game road trip (they went 5-2) to begin the season, Thursday was a good off day for the Mets to have.
Their lead in the NL East grew a little more thanks to the Phils, Braves & Nats all losing.

Friday is their 2022 home opener as part of a 7 game home stand.
The DBacks are in for 3 this weekend...then the SF Giants come in for 4 starting next Monday.

Agreed. They just spent 3 days in Philly...a city that just recently reinstated a mask mandate due to a rise and outbreak of the new covid sub variant. That’s probably more than likely where they contracted it which resulted in testing positive.

I actually have it myself, know a bunch of people with it currently so it's definitely "back" in this area. Thankfully it's not too bad so I hope/expect they'll be good to go in a few days.
