Asked about Hodgson's prospects with two games left in the preseason, Vigneault said:“It's a question of … what works best for our team. Once we’ve made that assessment, we’re obviously going to consider what’s best for him. Is it best for him to play eight, nine minutes a game here, or is it best for him to play 20 minutes in Manitoba? We’re going to have to consider all those things.”

from what he has shown in camp, he definitely needs a year of seasoning.
you can see he has a great hockey sense... the confidence wasn't there in against NHL caliber.
He will be a very, very good player. Not in the bigs this year though.
Between him and Jordan Schroeder, that's a pretty exciting twosome in development.

Playing 20+ minutes a game in Manitoba is way better than 8-10 minutes with the Canucks. He'll probably be one of the first guys recalled when a guy is injured as well.
