I'll be honest with you fellers......I don't think we're gonna be turning any corner with this staff. I just don't.

I think you can bring in whatever recruits you want, just don't think we're going to that next level.

Does that mean I am a trader? No. Does it mean I won't root for the Huskers like always? No.

I just don't see success in our near future going down the path we're going. I don't think a good QB is going to make the difference.

I think even the most old school fans who have this idea in their head about coaching and developing a bunch of Rudy's are finally opening their cot damn eyes.

I beat @jedburks over the head with this many times and he still just thought recruiting was so beneath anyone to be paying attention to.

Was it beneath us to be paying attention to LeBron or Kobe out of high school? Was it stupid and weird to set aside all of the facts about how immature they are and how they're just kids to just see raw talent and potential in an athlete?

Recruiting is the lifeblood of a program. It's a cliche at this point, but most cliche's are true.

They were missing the number 3 recruit in the nation. Hammers the point home.

Alabama will hammer that point home with a pile driver today vs Washington barring something akin to the U.S. beating the Soviets in Lake Placid.

No. I'm still sober.

We had guys on Defense yesterday out of position the entire game. You don't recruit players that just know where to be. You recruit talent, and you teach that talent where to be and how to tackle, etc etc. You also make them play with passion. You force passion into them. That's part of the coaching staff's job.

There was no passion there yesterday and it hasn't been there for most of the season. With the exception of maybe Tommy and a couple players here and there.

He was a Bishop Gorman kid. He needed to be humbled by a grown ass man. My only hope is that he uses that ass whipping as a teaching moment. He has a lot to work on.

Ryker did enough to win that game.

Defense didn't even give us a chance.

And yes, Tommy would have given us a much better chance. Still giving up 500+ on Defense is tough to overcome. Also, running for 60 yards against the worst rush D in the history of the world doesn't help either.

Make fun of that rush D all you want, but Barnett was insanely good. Dear god he was good. Played with a purpose.
