Now I'm depressed: Don't expect Sabres GM Darcy Regier to fire coach Lindy Ruff

Maybe when regier is in the same unemployment line as lindy he would have thought better of keeping on his "friend" as coach.

I wish the Sabres would fire Ruff just so I can see what the fans say when the team still sucks and continues to go nowhere.

Maybe then they will start to say it's all Miller's fault, and he should be traded? Or perhaps they will say that Regier was the problem all along, and he has to be fired as well? Or maybe they will say it's because of the injuries? Maybe it's the curse? Aliens?

It's funny how the Sabres were at the bottom of the East for the first few months last Season, but somehow managed to win a bunch of games down the stretch and barely miss the PO's with Ruff as the head coach. I guess his message wasn't stale for the final 40 games or so???

Fans need to realize that it's the players and level of talent this team has or doesn't have, and getting rid of Ruff isn't going to suddenly make the defense play better, the injuries to stop happening, and turn players into 40 goal scorers. But when a team is doing bad, the first thing the fans want is the coach to be fired. I'm glad teams don't listen to what fans want all the time.

What franchise is in worst shape Sabres or Bills? It's actually a hard question now a days. Lindy Ruff has only taken one time to the Finals and it wasn't even his team.

There we go with the late season run stuff. I'm done being suckered in by Lindy's "moral" victories. As I noted in an earlier post. The fans that are content with the results we have received must have low expectations. That's fine.

Yeah, I would much rather be a fan of a shitty team that has won 0 Stanley Cups instead of being a fan of a shitty team that has at least won the Cup 4 times now.

I'm not sure things can get worse when you're at rock bottom?

Coaches have an expiration date with a particular team. It has only part to do with their actual talent...but, doesn't mean it isn't time to part ways with a guy. Unfortunately in Ruff's case the longer they wait the more difficult it is.
