I did not want to read up on Iowa. I posted stuff in main forum where I see Iowa as 5-7 to 8-4.

Last year's game was pretty even except for on the lines. Iowa won the line of scrimmage on both sides.

Nebraska has way more skill at the skill positions, but Iowa still has the scrimmage lines. Hopefully, that changes in 2019.

Iowa still has Nate Stanley at QB, he doesn't win Iowa any games, but he doesn't lose them either. He is 9-9 as the starter in B1G play.

Iowa has a tougher schedule than usual. They have a six week stretch that defines their season.
@Michigan, Penn State, Purdue, @Northwestern, @Wisconsin, Minnesota. Penn State, Purdue, Northwestern, and Wisconsin are all starting a new QB for 2019. Iowa will be lucky to go 4-2 through that. I think 3-3 is more likely and then a loss to Nebraska to go 8-4.

The week before Nebraska Iowa plays Illinois, while Nebraska is at Maryland.

You've got the Huskers going 10-2. That's what I projected in the CF Forum.

You threw me for a loop on this one as I know you aren't serious about the 52-0 score. That being said I took your scoring offense average throughout your predictions.

Using your 52 pts on Iowa (and 52 pts for S. Alabama where you didn't predict a score), the Huskers Scoring offense average would be at 39 PPG.
Since I know you aren't serious about 52 pts against Iowa I lowered that to 35 pts (a TD better than last seasons 28). I once again used the 52 pts on S. Alabama. That put the new average at 36 PPG.

Looking at 2018 P5 teams that averaged appx 36 PPG Scoring Offense, their stat ranking, and final AP ranking...

22) Florida (10-3) 35 PPG (Final AP #7)
21) Michigan (10-3) 35.2 PPG (Final AP #14)
19) Texas A&M (9-4) 36 PPG (Final AP #16)
18) Missouri (8-5) 36.6 PPG (NR)
16) Texas Tech (5-7) 37.3 PPG (NR)

To put those Scoring Offense rankings into perspective. 2018 P5 teams that averaged 40+ PPG

8) Ohio St (13-1) 42.4 PPG (Final AP #3)
4) Clemson (15-0) 44.3 PPG (Final AP #1)
3) Alabama (14-1) 45.6 PPG (Final AP #2)
1) Oklahoma (12-2) 48.4 PPG (Final AP #4)

Those that ranked 2, 5, 6, and 7 were G5 teams. I omitted them for obvious reasons.

Regarding my Over/Under at 40 PPG.

11) Syracuse (10-3) 40.2 PPG (Final AP #15)
10) West Virginia (8-4) 40.3 PPG (Final AP #20)

Given the Scoring Defense rankings of those Top 4 Total Offense leaders. It looks like offense has taken over defense in defining elite teams and 'What Wins Championships'. At the very least Conference Championships.

101) Oklahoma 33.3 PPG (Final AP #4)
51) Ohio St 25.5 PPG (Final AP #3)
12) Alabama 18.1 PPG (Final AP #2)
1) Clemson 13.1 PPG (Final AP #1)

That is a lot of numbers.

yes, I just put in HP52 usual score to give him credit. Nebraska will score points on Iowa, and I feel it will be more points than Iowa can score.

I started at 10-2 in December 2018 and every time i go through my guessing analysis, I keep coming up with 10-2, with a shot at 12-0 because no game is a for sure loss. At least in my opinion.

My main forum season is 8-4. I did not want to look like the Iowa fans that think their season is going to be magical. The West is up for grabs: Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Nebraska all have a shot at it. Illinois, no chance. I thought the same thing in 2017 before we knew Diaco rhymed with fiasco.

Either way, Nebraska is going bowling.

Speaking of West Virginia, i think that team is going to have an awful season. Lost their coach. Lost all their playmakers. they have Missouri and NC State on their OOC, and they could have 6 to 7 losses on the Big 12. They should beat Texas Tech and Kansas.

He retired with a career record of 255–49–3 (.836), 13 conference titles, and three national championships. He coached 53 All-Americans, including 1983 Heisman Trophy winner Mike Rozier. Osborne's 1995 national championship team is considered by many to be the best in college football history

Don James
1975 to 1992, compiling a career college football record of 178–76–3 (.698).

His 1991 Washington team won a share of the national championship after completing a 12–0 season with a decisive win over Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

I'm gonna take a guess & say you've never seen alaskaguy say something similar? If not my bad. It was just a joke about his idiotic comment.

Prett sure @Red_Alert was around when that was originally said.

Don James was a damn good coach. But Osborne's a legendary coach.

I thought it was a possibility, but since it wasnt green i didnt know for sure why you'd be pimping a washington coach. I was hoping it was a joke :D you should have put the @ for @AlaskaGuy so maybe we can make fun of him again, since i missed it the first time.

USC owned the PAC for years. With that said when it came to head to head games Washington's HC Don James owned Osborne and Switzer like a couple of cheap $20 truck stop crack h0's.

2 games isnt "owning" nice try buttercup.

You should prolly save the crack for the hoes instead of getting high on your own supply...

This is so absurd all I can say homer will homer. So you think those few games sums up the coaching careers of those 3 coaches?

Here's more crazy thinking. Jim Harbaugh's an elite CFB coach because he had more success coaching in the NFL than Saban.
