Not another Big XII realignment thread

Given the current landscape, the Big XII needs to capitalize on the woes of both the PAC and ACC.

Popular concensus is go east and hit UCF (largest growing enrollment and largest new alum base with growing endowment.)

After picking them up, look to hit Northern TV markets with Cinci?

That looks good but is there a way to provisional UCF for now (competing in the AAC in football but all other sports in the Big XII) until the GoR renegotiations in 2021(3) I can't off the top remember which date.

With that, once GoR is renegotiated, go after say Pitt to keep both WVU happy and solidify travel partners and reestablish long held rivalries?


OR

Should we take advantage of a dumpster fire of PAC 12 brass ineptitude and move to picking up Zona, ASU and with the very likely loss of WVU in this scenario go after Utah?

I think East is the best way forward with both recruiting purposes, TV markets etc.

This is true. Texas administration are a bunch of whiney bitches. They would be best being independent. They can schedule OU and A&M yearly and play 10 other softies to pad their shit. Explain why Pitt would leave the ACC? If you think the WVU rivalry is enough, it isn't. More likely that WVU leaves the Big XII for the ACC... That's where they wanted to be in the first place!

I agree but in the same breath, we've got to stay ahead of the curve for conference stability. I'm not wanting to super conference at 14. Just get back to 12.

Hell we can kick Rapelor out and pick up UCF, Pitt and somebody else for all I care (NC State maybe?).

I like the idea with NC State as they have a good wrestling program and we have dwindled down to 4 programs in the Big XII and 2 of those programs are in our state of Oklahoma.

Oh this has NOTHING to do with records, it has to do with horrible management from the Conference HQs.

The ACC proved that when Florida State actively lobbied to move to the Big XII with Jimbo Fisher.

The ACC started to manage like the Big East did. Basketball is King.


The Pac, well Larry Scott has sunk them. Their Network just got dropped by ATT/DirecTV yesterday after the games.

They are in weird and troubled waters.
