Anyone (Caps fans included) who thinks that a premature end to Crosby's career would not be a horrible thing for the league is a bit delusional.

It would be horrible. AS much as I hate the guy, I want him to get back on the ice so I can hate him on the ice.

The only thing I've heard from those claiming this would be detrimental are general statements. There is evidence to suggest otherwise. I don't think a cogent argument involving multiple players is "hating" on anyone.

How am I slamming you? All I said was there really isnt a reason to argue. Most think this to be common sense losing the best player in the NHL before his prime would be detrimental to the league. You disagree and I am perfectly ok with that.

I was thinking about that, too. Lindros might be another example. I'm not sure how ratings/attendance were impacted after they finished.

concussions are simply unpredictable. I remember Andreas Lilja suffered concussion symptoms for over a year and then one day they just stopped and he's been fine since. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for crosby right now

for those that havent had their fill of Crosby concussion newspaper stories ... another one is coming tomorrow that will prob make some headlines

by Matt Sekeres from the Globe and Mail ... interviewed the concussion experts/doctors that Crosby has seen ... gist of their opinions is that this bolded part of the story from yesterday is a very bad sign
