So the illegal trade was Indianapolis 2.27 to San Francisco for 2.29 & 6.29 correct?

So why not make the trade:
Indianapolis 2.27 to San Francisco for 2.29 & 6.14?

Man you guys are too nice. I would have made him give up his 4th for not realizing the picks he had. Well guess for the 49ers it is a good thing I am not the Commish.

I dont think he is an every down back. I also had him in fantasy last year and Martin has struggled in the red zone throughout his career. They need a goaline guy. And some oline help.

hmmm we can agree to disagree on that. last year was only his second in the league and even the year before he ran behind a ok at best oline in my opinion. TB is improving there o line so as long as he is healthy he should be very productive...

Didn't they lose both starting guards within the first few weeks of the season?

Tampa Bay has had health problems the past 2 years on oline. They've been terrible with depth lately at almost every position. But I wasn't going to pick a 3rd-4th round guard prospect over a 1st-2nd round RB prospect.

I think Bitonio would be the perfect target for Tampa because he is a swing tackle that can and probably should play Guard to start. But he was off the board.

Oh I understand. I think your pick was a good one. Too often people pick for need over value at this point in the draft. Now given I did pick a Corner for the Broncos but he was among my top 5 on my big board plus filled a position of need. With the NFL being more of a 2-back set and like you said Martin not being that great in the Red Zone getting a guy like you did should help tremendously. Plus takes pressure off of Martin to have to be that 300 carry guy and can give you better production for less carries with him because of the lack of wear and tear.

I would have made him trade with the Redskins for Allen Robinson and then trade Robinson to the Ravens for their 3rd rounder.

Desir… 4.59s 40
McGill… 4.51s 40

That small of a difference in 40 time doesn't mean squat on the field. Neither are "electrifying" in that case.

But to me, both are considered projects. McGill possesses the better cover technique with man-to-man coverage, but he is not a great tackler. That's the only thing that worries me. Desir IMO is the better tackler, and has better ball awareness. I didn't watch the senior bowl, so maybe McGill would have changed my opinion about him.

You can't teach a guy to be 6'3".

i want to clarify that in no way do i think it was a bad pick. living up here in the state of washington i watched Bishop play alot last year. i think he is going to be a very good runner. but he is not a goal line/ short yardage runner in my opinion. you can use him there but he wont be running people over.

Wow...we were going good earlier...It's always around this time that things die.

Yah weird after we draft it dies around here. I guess we suck the life out of the party or other gm's aren't as active. It's a toss up which one it is

Its lunch for most of us but if you want to trade your 3rd for the Fins 3rd and 5th I'm still interested. If my guy is still there at 8 Nos I'll do the deal with you but I will entertain offers before that!
