Nah Brooks is a second round selection early third at worst..

I wouldn't take him then. He is a 4th round prospect on my big board. The safety class after the top 3 (Pryor, Clinton-Dix, Ward) is very weak this year. Probably of all the positions in this draft that might be the weakest of all of them.

Safety is the weakest in my mind, but he is versatile he can play corner and safety, has good speed, ran 4.42 with a 38 inch vertacile. he has verstility which increases his value, i think the kid is the 4th safety in the position because he can play both safety spots and corner. most safeties in this class are one deminisional after top 3 as you said.

I can see why his versatility would push him up some boards. I would probably put him as the 4th safety as well. If he had better hands I would say easily he is a 2nd round pick but drops a ton of would be interceptions. The fact that he is in place to make that kind of play though does speak to his ability. The pick was still a bit of a reach but you are right he wouldn't have been there the next time the Rams picked.

i agree it was a little bit of reach, if could have traded down a few picks and then grabbed him would have been better. but he is a need for the Rams secondary and he should be able to fill multiple roles for the team.

The 1st draft went a lot better than this one is going... A lot of people signed up for this one that aren't as trustworthy.

Not going to change the rules in the middle of the draft. If you think about it it's just a few people that are slowing us down.

If we go into October we can start voting BPA for teams, I promise.

I'm not a fan of this idea. It would penalize those down the order that have been present who might have wanted one of those BPA. I would much rather do what we are doing right now.

That's being shaddy if GM's don't pick for another person BPA team needs. Its a mock draft so why screw over another team to benefit your MOCK draft team. Nos as you have seen I will do whats best for the league and not something that will only benefit the Redskins (IE trading picks, selecting a player for the Browns, etc).

A mock draft to me is to see where players might actually go in the draft and try to make it as real as possible. When a team loses 10 spots because they failed to show up is not realistic to me. No NFL team would ever lose 10 spots but maybe only 1 (Vikings). Say the Vikings GM didn't show up (he is forgetful ) for his pick. If no list was given then to keep it realistic we hold a vote on who they should take. The majority vote wins. You list the Vikings top needs and who they have already picked and then everyone submits who they should take. Once again I know this wont happen but if I was playing God/Nos this is what I would do.
