I just hope people understand we aren't voting for the teams that drafted the best players we should be voting on who filled their team needs best.
I drafted need(my team has lots of holes), but what's wrong with drafting BPA?

@Nosferatu my suggestion is after the draft you list on top of everyone's picks for their team their team needs according to what ever site you feel ( I think Walter). Therefore we can vote more effectively according to what you want which is team need. Team need and value.
Walter or something scribbled on charmin

Thing for me was, I checked out Tampa and they picked up a bunch of free agents so my "needs" IMO were guys who could compete for the starting job day 1... My main goal was to not reach... Only guy I'm taking a real swing for the fences with is the DE out of Southern Utah... Cowser was a bit of a reach but 1) his stats show his potential 2) I really wanted a pass rusher there and he was the best available prospect at that point IMO 3) I needed to hurry and pick or Ritzy was going to continue to send nude pictures...:noidea:

If your team big board is the same as Walter, CBS, etc...you could miss filling a hole here or there.

I took several big boards merged them and sorta created my own and married that with needs...although we did note the true BPA, even if that player wasn't on our board. The way the picks ahead were going, we are pretty close to BPA on our board on the 4 picks....our 2nd rd pick the safeties were so close it wouldn't have mattered up to the 4th guy on our board.

Damn Broncos took back to back picks who I desired highly. Thought Dak Prescott would have been a great backup to Cousins and since Silas Redd just got suspended Skins now need a RB and Jonathon Williams was added (now deleted) to my draft list. Great picks Denver :suds:

I've been holding out hope they would make it to my picks. All 3 guys were at the top of my list for half of the round and I seriously thought about trading up with my 2 picks in the 4th but couldn't find a deal I liked. To me Williams before his injury was easily a 2nd round pick. The guy has a very nice size/power/speed combo. Dak is a guy that has impressed me with his improvement in college. He went from pretty much more known for his running than throwing to his senior year becoming a pocket passer and doing it well. He is a project but one worth taking in the 5th.

Prescott went about 1 round after I figured he'd go and Cook went about 2 rounds before.

QBs really are the most unpredictable part of any draft.

I think that comes down to a bit of homerism and going on name alone, and not looking at stats.

Sounds like you like more then just some but all my selections. I would be happy with getting 4 good & 1 star player with my first 5 picks. If they can contribute and help win ball games then that's the goal. I rather have 5 good players compared to 1 stud player then 4 guys who don't make the team. All 5 picks Reed, Bell, Cooper, Martinez & Murray could start day 1 for the Redskins and that's what I was looking for. I believe I got great value and team need with my picks. I appreciate your evaluation on my players and hope you are right about them. ESPN has Reed as the #1 DT, they have Bell as the #1 Safety, Cooper #8 WR, Martinez #7 ILB according to Walter Football, and Murray #13th best CB according to Walter Football. Once again thanks Cdumler on your evaluation.

Reed is the one pick that I am just very blaw against. Like I said I think he will be a long time player in the league barring injuries but I like just a bit more from my NT than just getting in the way. Andrew Billings probably would have been my choice. A lot of people that know more than me though like Reed a lot and they do say he showed a lot more pass rush skill at the Senior Bowl so maybe Alabama just never used him that way even though he had the skill set. He could surprise me. I actually keep seeing him mocked to the Broncos to be Malik's replacement. So I might have to learn to like the guy soon enough.

Prescott is a tough one to figure out. Before his DUI most had him early 3rd round sometimes 2nd round to the Broncos. After his DUI he started dropping a round or two. My biggest thing with liking him is that he is one of the few that showed huge improvements as a passer and really working on his weaknesses from the first couple of years and learning how to throw from the pocket. I don't think he is a year 1 starter but if he keeps along that path of growing at his craft I could see him surprise some people.

For me he is somewhere in between Tebow and Russel Wilson. I think he could be a starter after sitting for 1 year.

I can get on board with that thought. He was Tebow to me before this past season. Like I said he really showed how much he worked to learn to throw from the pocket and make accurate throws. Gives me a little hope for his future but as you said he needs probably a year more of development and to just learn how to function in an NFL offense. My hope for him would be to grow into a Tyrod Taylor type player.

And the best one hasn't even been drafted yet :bolt:
