Maybe, but the price was right. The success rate on first round QBs is not all that high. I would much rather throw a dart on a 4th or 5th rounder every year. Eventually, one will hit.

I would not take Hack if I was 31 GM's. The only team I would take him is the Texans in the 4th or later round. O'Brien did get the most out of him and I feel Hack could be a huge steal in 4th round or could be a bust. If a bust I would be fine busting on a 4th rounder. Hack missed so many dump off passes which scares me and he just hasn't shown much for me to think he could succeed in the NFL. The icing on the top convincing me that he shouldn't be taken is the way he threw his former coach under the bus blaming him (Franklin) saying his poor replay wasn't his fault but Franklins. Now this might be 80% true no GM or coach wants to hear this. They want a leader under center not a excuse maker.

I don't know if someone who correctly identifies a problem is an excuse maker. I don't knock prospects for that. I think Franklin ruined his career and cost him millions of dollars.

But again...he could have always transferred to a different school. And maybe he was overrated as a prospect.

Yes. 10, 21, 29 for #126

Sorry for the delay. My wife and grandson were finishing a school project on my computer.

I think I will keep my pick which is 2nd pick from OTC unless 1) my guy gets taken 2) you increase the offer. I really like the guy on my list. Projected starter in the 4th round which my skins desperately need.

I'll be headin out in about an hour, but ATL should be back by then if Cincy doesn't get their pick in. Someone please tag me when Tubbs makes his pick.

Franklin didn't ruin Hack, just like Shanahan didn't ruin RG3. They didn't help the QB's either but it was the QB's who made the throws or in this case attempted the throws. Hack had a bad line but he also missed wide open dump off passes as well. Donovan the OC sucked at play calling and so does Franklin. Donovan is gone and Franklin hasn't shown me anything as a coach except that he is a hell of recruiter. Now why would a GM want to take Hack when he has shown he will throw his coach under the bus. That's bad PR. If Hack has a bad game and he calls out his receivers for the drops or his o-line for lack of protection he will get his ass kicked in the locker room. During the interviews you don't make excuses or identify the problem if it throws your team under the bus. You say we could have done better and it was a learning experience. The GM's know the truth and didn't need to hear it from Hack.

I'm heading out right now but I have my phone on me. Only really have a 2 man big board right now and if I lose both then I'm going to Mockdraft Rampage

Or you could leave your list with Nos or myself.

This is true. I guess interviews maybe are a different story for me than other things. Hack has so much bad film and GMs literally went through his whole film from what I heard and said 'why did you do this?' a thousand times. I think they were trying to make him snap.

Strike one against Shanahan was drafting Cousins in the same draft as RGIII, what kind of message does that send to a player you gave up a kings ransom for?

I agree with you at the time of the draft. Last year till present time I disagree because of the way Cousins played and now the starter. To get Cousins in the 4th round and now current starter is a steal. I don't care what message it sends its a pro sport not kindergarten where you worry about feelings. RG3 was given the starting job and cousins was given the backup job as soon as they were selected. Having a quality backup QB is crucial in today's NFL game. Look at the Cowboys. If they had a decent backup they could have made the playoffs I feel. 1 injury cost them their season. Now for the record I don't feel Cousins is worthy of franchise QB salary and like that he received the franchise tag and not a huge pay day. I also have no problem paying him big money if he can duplicate last seasons numbers.

Strike one was trading up. That nuts and everyone knew it was nuts.

Cousins was a late 1st-early 2nd round talent on my board that year. He was a steal
