New Quebec City Arena Looks Likely | The Province Blogs
Quebec City’s municipal council voted Tuesday in favour of the final agreement reached with media giant Quebecor to build a $400-million NHL-calibre arena.
Mayor Regis Labeaume said the city has signed a “win-win” deal with Quebecor, giving the company naming rights to the city’s proposed arena — scheduled to be completed in 2015, and which could serve as the future home of an NHL team.
Under the 200-page agreement, Quebecor has agreed to pay the city to manage the arena for at least 25 years, with a possibility to extend the contract for an additional 15 years.
can Glendale hold on that long?
will it be Florida instead?
