I was thinking the same thing. The defense is going to be slow coming off the ball because they think you're just going to draw them offsides so you should be able to QB sneak it and get a good push.

I would have. They were past the 50, they have Cam Newton for the sneak, and the defense was thinking "don't cross that line."

I suppose though if you pin an offense on the 1 with 1 min to go and no timeouts that's a complete failure on your defense.

Also, they had like 3 inches to go for the first. But they decided to go with their tenacious defense.

Plus you do a silent count between just the center and QB. Like Steve Young used to always do, and now Brady does them a lot. I have never seen that play not go for at least 3 yards.
