Too early to start a amateur draft discussion or should we wait post Vegas

Never too early, DW. Nico likely has the higher ceiling, but Nolan is likely the safer pick.

They both suck. Can't go wrong with a 6-4 245 pound d-man or a power forward these days.

FTFY.

Derian Hatcher and CHris Therien FTW!!
Exactly - you think McDavid or Matthews will come flying up the ice knowing those brutes are waiting to take their heads off? Intimidation works. In fact, if there isn't a big bruiser available, I'd trade down and try to snag an asset like Nick Ritchie off the Ducks as well. That is how you rebuild a team my friends.

Ritchie doesn't have that edge to his game though. If Ottawa is lucky enough, Mark Borowiecki will escape the expansion draft. You flip 1st overall for Ottawa's 1st, Borowiecki and the negotiating rights to Chris Neil. That's a solid core!!!

Just an addition to the whole Borowiecki deal. If you hire Dave Cameron as your coach Boro can fill in on the first FORWARD line too.

And while you're at it, give a whack to William Nylander too!
