He has got to perform this year. It's been like a bad marriage the past two years. At first it was great. There were fireworks, all her friends were jealous, and then boom, you got to really know each other. Now, you have invested too much to just pick up and leave, so you want to exhaust all options so when you do leave or cut bait, you can look yourself in the mirror and say you did everything you could.

I agree skinsdad, but it does unfairly add to the narrative and the perceived persona, that RG3 is an attention whore, and a self indulged diva. It just adds unneeded pressure on himself from a fan base and local media that is growing tired of losing and growing tired of RG. Right or wrong.

Social media can be a double edge sword for athletes. On one hand, it allows you to connect with your fans & "grow your brand". On the other hand, it can be filled with lowest forms of humanity & if you aren't smart enough to ignore the obvious trolls or can't deal with criticism, it is better to set your accounts to private or walk away from social media.
