Mystery to me how they won 100 games, and how the Pirates with that just horrendous lineup won 98 games

Did you see the lineup they trotted out in the most important game of the season?

Cerevlli 5th
Jody Mercer
Sean Rodriguez
Pedro Alvarez

Ugggh

That's the National League for you. All you need is 1 good bat(i.e. McCutchen, AGonz for the Dodgers, I'm assuming the Cardinals have one...etc...).

He just hasn't been a #1 starter since....well...since he was with the Angels, I guess.

Yeah, a 143 ERA+ isn't #1 material. It's more like a #3 or maybe #4. . .

<looks a Rick Porcello's 2015 stats, literally laughs middle ball off>

I noticed Price. Jays fans promised me this year will be different

He was off for 12 days, they said? That's on the manager! You have to get him some work down the stretch to keep him sharp.

0-6 is 0-6 bruh. Price does have a mouth right? He could have requested to get some innings in last weekend

Why do you keep bringing up Rick Porcello? We are talking about the mediocre Cardinals here. Try and stay focused.

Hi, I'm continuity. Have we met?

You said I was butthurt because Lackey had a good year for the Cards. It's not the case. He left Boston as a winner. If I'm butthurt, it's because they got Allen Craig and Joe Kelly for him instead of something useful.

Actually, we're talking about Lackey here, who the Red Sox traded away despite having a league-minimum clause in his contract for a season in which Lackey dominated. Which happens to be the same season in which the Red Sox went into with Rick Porcello as their ace.

I know it's a lot to keep up with for you. Would you like a diagram?

Lackey is hardly the one "that got away" from the Red Sox. It would have been nice to have him this year, but he was not the missing piece of the puzzle. And I hated Porcello from moment one. Never wanted him and preferred for the Sox to keep Cespedes.

He did win a World Series with Boston. He also won one with the Angels. In fact, he's got over 20 games of post season experience. He's also coming off of the 2nd best season in his career. Man, those Cardinals sure are stupid for pitching him first, huh?

Given that they finished 15 games out of the division and 8 games out on the 2nd wild card, I agree with you fully.

Not stupid. I'm just saying that if he's the best they got, they have no shot.

You are writing off the Jays after 1 game? I'm not.....yet.

I am, however, writing off the Royals. Speaking of awful game 1 starters....Jordanna Ventura!?!? Wasn't he sent to the minors a couple months ago? Nice choice, Ned.

Yup, thought the same thing...They are in trouble, I agree

Not writing off the Jays, but could see things being tougher than what people were preidcting
