Bo Jackson was one of the best athletes,RB ever imho, granted not enough time he played but if he could of lasted longer many would never question it,i saw the man play a few times and to this day i have never seen anything like it.

Bo was a freak among freaks. I'm convinced a hex was placed upon the Bengals the day they took Bo out

Bo is on that list of "coulda been's" w/ some other players who might've been the greatest of all time (or close) if injury or otherwise didn't end their careers.

Bo
Tony Boselli
Sean Taylor
Sterling Sharpe
Rod Woodson
(before the ACL & switch to FS)

...Then there are others who never showed anything but may have if not for injury like Kijana Carter, Andre Wadsworth & others.

Sean Taylor, in particular, was about as scary a player the NFL has ever seen:

No question that Bo was a uniquely talented athlete. Too bad that his hip injury cut short his career. Lots of athletes have their careers shortened by injury, but few, if any, were as talented as Jackson.

Bo flipped myself and a few other fans next to me the bird during a game at Fenway.

Great athlete by anyone's standard, and a great person from what I can tell after watching the 30 4 30 doc on him.

Guys like Bo Jackson are the Ferrari's of the sports world. Fresh off the lot they are world beaters and the hottest thing on the block. But they are so highly strung it doesn't take long before they start to break down. You MIGHT get 8-10,000 miles out of your Ferrari before you start having mechanical issues. But man, those first 8-10,000 miles sure are memorable. That's how I feel about Bo Jackson's football/sports career.

You also have to factor in that medical technology wasn't what it is now. He likely could have been rebuilt so to speak.

If only...

Would have been fun to watch him through a long career.

Best play by him,

When he blew up the Boz. Mostly because Boz was such a loudmouth douchenozzle.

As a man who played Tecmo Bowl, I fucking remember Bo Jackson. Most over powered player in sports game history.

When the lights go out and all sports fans forget, we gamers will remember Bo.

(Michael Vick in Madden 04 was pretty broken too)

What if? One of the ultimate what ifs?

Bo and Barry. What if Bo didn't get hurt, and what if Barry Sanders didn't play for a shit-franchise and retire in his prime?

Christian Okoye was the most overpowered video game football player ever, not even close:

As for Bo, he had the best combo of speed and power I ever saw. He was much more than a power back.

Best athlete to ever play professional sports. Bar none.

I just happened to stop off at a bar with friends and watch him hit a home run of my Yankees his first game back
from hip surgery. It is one of my favorite home runs and I just don't care it was against the Yanks.

Can you even imagine if Peyton Manning had ever had a RB like Barry?

Neal Heaton looked like he wanted to crawl into the left field stands of Comiskey and snuggle up with a case of beer.
