I don't see a lockout happening.

I'm sure there will be some negotiating and push for concession from both sides... but I think both sides are feeling pretty good about where things stand.

The owners and the players will want to keep the tv networks happy... that is their cash cow and they know it.

Will the networks be happy if there is a lockout??? Of course not.

Not a direct quote but if you look in my Jerry West thread from last month you'd see the hatred for Silver being quite astonishing.

Again, your aggressiveness is causing you to make shit up again.

Have you ever considered just being a calm human being for once or will you reply to this comment with another negative-attitude hum-dinger?

Really? Because I saw roughly 200 posts of Silver hatred in that said thread of mine, when it just so happens that the league today (under Silver) is probably in its best financial condition since the Jordan era.

Silver's quickly becoming one of the best figureheads in all of sports. He's doing some great work.

Great news!

I was worried given how some of those contracts were looking. Glad to see that the players and owners both recognize that this agreement is in everyone's best interests.

Straight BS. How are you going to quote something that wasn't even a quote?

I stand my my claim that he should not have made the comment that he made. He has appeared weak at times for sure, but he has handled his two most important tasks with great efficiency. He got rid of Sterling and has helped this deal pass seemlessly. As a result, I would say he is doing just fine overall.

No one said this.

Really? Because I saw roughly 200 posts of Silver hatred in that said thread of mine, when it just so happens that the league today (under Silver) is probably in its best financial condition since the Jordan era.

No you didn't. You saw people saying that Silver shouldn't have said what he said and stating why.

As for the leagues financial position...that was done by David Stern. I don't like Stern, never did, but there is no denying that he made the league incredibly profitable.

All Silver really has to do is not screw up what Stern started and be less of an asshat than Stern was.

And why are you bringing up shit from your thread in CitySushi's thread? This thread has nothing to do with your thread.

I was in the bunch that felt it would go this way as well. For one, the NBAPA has real, competent leadership now that Billy Hunter is gone. Michelle Roberts ain't fucking around. And Silver is a smart dude so put the two together, and they were gonna get a deal done. Of course, it helps that business is as good as its ever been.
