Last I heard, the Angels were looking at him with some interest. I have mixed feelings about that. Obviously we know how good Lincecum can be when he's on and while he may never be that good on a consistent basis again, he can still be very good in spurts. I just hope that the M's catch him in recent-Lincecum mode and not vintage-Lincecum mode if he signs with the Angels.

Think he would've been a great pickup if he was willing to compete for a closer role. Long relief is pointless for him but he has a unique enough delivery and pitches that having batters face him once would give him an advantage as opposed to just an average at best starter nor being relegated to long relief.

Probably would have been a nice add to the bullpen, but getting back Furbush & Benoit should really help out. Maybe then we can save Peralta for garbage time.
