could be 3,500 seats by the time it re-worked.
apparently, currently there is a section of seating that is just benches.

meanwhile, this seats 18,300 and is currently home to a junior team in Quebec City

And it would be filled every home game (or at a minimum 90% filled).

Not sure if covered earlier in this thread, but apparently as part of the ASU deal, the Coyotes also are agreeing to be the lowest priority tenant, so they'll get nothing but the worst dates.

And thy apparently won't be able to play a home game until December because of the construction.

Not gonna lie, I'm kinda enjoying every second of this debacle.

This might explain a whole lot…

It would be great to know how lucrative that revenue stream is and if it contributes to hockey related revenue - I'm very surprised the NHLPA isn't kicking up more of a stink about this proposal as this certainly appears to have a drag on HRR which directly impacts the league wide salary cap.

So weird how Bettman seems to roll over so much for gambling interests. There must be some explanation.

So that's a 20 game road trip to open season, followed by a 20 game homestand.

And if the NHL had any interest in another team in Canada they'd already be moved.

I was hoping they'd move to the arena in Trenton NJ where the ECHL Titans used to play. Seats almost double the ASU arena, had really good hot dogs, cheap parking and most importanly only 20 minutes from my house!

I mean, when Nelson Skalbania bought the Flames and moved the team to Calgary in the fall of 1980, they had to play in the now imploded Corral that had a seating capacity of 7500 (8000 with standing room) waiting for the Saddledome construction to be completed. This is less than half of that seating capacity lol
