Nnamdi Asomugha chooses #49ers and has agreed to terms, per sources. He had also considered #Saints. #NnamdiWatch

I'm cool with it. I think he was out of place in Philly. Guess this calls for some cap clearing? Or at least restructuring.

We literally have some change in our pockets for cap space at the moment. Hilarious. I'm dying to see what is done about it.

To cut Rogers after this season, it only costs us about 3M towards the cap. I'd imagine he'd also be open to restructure if he knew being cut was on the table.

Brown is an UFA after this season.

Cully is eligible for an extension and becomes a FA in 2 years.

We basically have 4 competitive cornerbacks who are not only competing for playing time this season but also for future contracts. We should be receiving their very best effort and focus this season. Nice work by Harbaalke!

CB Nnamdi Asomugha is signing a 1-yr deal with 49ers worth $1.35 million in base salary, but get this: He didn't want ANY guaranteed money.

That is a good one year rental, much preferred over the idea of giving up the world to rent Revis

SWEEEEEEET!!! 1 year is EXACTLY what I wanted out of him.

Or Culliver to FS.

You're always trying to move one of our CB's to safety. First it was Clements and now it's Rogers or culliver. I'd rather draft a replacement then have one of our corners switch positions, but that's just me.

Culliver played safety in college.

Comp' pick plan?

If a team loses a FA, they get a compensatory pick for him (depending on how big the contract was). What negates those picks is signing URFAs. However, it a guy is cut from another team, that signing doesn't negate the compensatory pick.
