The next game is vital for the Cubs. Arrieta needs to get the win. If we can go to Chicago with the series tied I would feel a lot better. Mets fans probably feel good about degrom in game 3, but don't forget that the Cubs raked against him 2 times in the regular season. I'm sticking with Cubs in 6, but the Mets Pitching could easily prove me wrong.

bad start for the cubs. really confused with the lester over Arrieta start. Syndergaard threw over 100 pitches thursday, both warmup and game throws, really surprised he is still pitching tonite after that win yesterday, mets need to feel good about getting Hendricks and Hammel.

Tough loss for the Cubs. Not many good ABs last night. Lester is concerning to me. He seemed as if he was in trouble the entire game, whether it was base runners or 3 ball counts. He also got hurt by two LHs - grandy and murph. No matter what Harvey controlled that entire game.

Granderson and Murphy are just locked in right now against lefties, but we're getting absolutely nothing from Wright or Cespedes against anybody. Really need those guys to contribute today.

Arrieta will probably have a great outing w/ double-digit k's, just not sure if Syndergaard wll be able to match him.

I'm figuring a 3-1 outcome for the bad guys

I don't think any game is really vital until its elimination in this matchup. Cubs are so young that they could hit a wall at any point but they are also so prone to hitting HRs that they are never out of any game.

Idk. Mets pitching is really good. If they can work Arrieta's pitch count and have him out by the 7th, they have a chance as long as Thor does his job and hold Chicago to 2 or 3 runs

Mets need some bats to get going at some point in this series. It would be great if they could do it against Arrieta but I'm not expecting miracles tonight. Would probably also need several cubs fielding errors to break through.
