The shitty Padres have gone back to the trash can where they belong after pretending to be a good team for a 5 series stretch. Baseball really is fucking awesome.
At least St Louis and Atlanta got good value for him in trades.Shelby Miller sure had a good year, -------in 2015.

Would help if the Dbacks could stop winning now, thanks. Dodgers winning against playoff teams and losing against the worst this year. An odd season to say the least. Dodgers start off not hitting any homers, then they start dominating with homers, now 90% of their runs are homers.
The San Diego Chargers(fuck LA) were the last pro team I really rooted for that had a good chance at winning a championship. The Kings weren't contenders in their last playoff series in 2006 but at least it was an exciting time with Kmart hitting a buzzer beater vs the Spurs. Even if I didn't expect the Padres to win the NL in their last postseason series(also 2006), in baseball it's a lot more up in the air where a team barely getting in can win a WS. 2010 started out great because it was an unexpected surge into first and then a not so surprising collapse. And they had the last series in SF where a sweep would I think tie with the Giants, the Padres win the first two but lose the third with Latos on the mound. As far as other teams, I root for San Diego State in basketball, football, and even baseball. The closest one of them has gotten was in basketball where they made 2 sweet 16's in the last decade. Barely lost to Arizona and Kemba's Huskies when Kawhi was there. I don't ever expect the football team to win a national championship unless they move into a power 5 conference. I did go to a Washington Capitals game with my brother years ago so I've kinda been rooting for them since and they did win the SC this year, but I barely watch and I'm not much of a hockey fan as of now so it wasn't nearly on the level of excitement I'd get to if the Padres or Kings win a championship. Both the Padres and Kings have some nice potential and good young players(including the farm system), but after a dozen seasons each of mostly losing it'll take more than just potential for me to get excited about ending their title droughts. On the bright side, Vlade said the Kings have a super team, but young.@Bolts, seriously man, is there any team you root for that you can at least expect to compete for a title, or recently did? The Kings and Padres look forever hopeless, do you have others?
Although in the Giants thread we were talking about the 2010 team and man I remember the Padres were really good and the Giants only squeaked into the playoffs on the last day of the year over them.
I was hoping the Cubs could do some damage against the dogs, but nooooo. They have lost 5 strt and dogs have won 4 strt. Ruh roh.The Dodgers need to stopping winning also, so the Dbacks can get a nice comfortable lead.
You clearly don’t watch much baseball. That last at bat by Slater was, I think, the worst at bat I've ever seen a Major League ball player have. he is not ready.

The same pitch in the dirt three straight pitches and he swung and missed all three by a mile while managing to look foolish while he did. Stunning. You clearly don’t watch much baseball.
They clearly don’t deserve your fandom. I think you should find an org more deserving of your undying loyalty.''The Giants will have a winning June. It will be their first winning month since June of 2016, when they went 17-10 and looked headed for bigger things. Every month since has been .500 or worse, often much worse.''
Absolutely astounding!
And to get that HR/month record, that currently sits at 56.Got to think the Dodgers have the pieces necessary to get a deGrom or Syndergaard.
