One day it will all make sense
Though he struck out 10, Max Scherzer surrendered four runs in six innings Tuesday against the Phillies.
The runs came on two homers from Brad Miller. Since returning from the IL in late August, Scherzer has given up 20 runs in 38 innings, good for a 4.74 ERA. His 54/8 K/BB ratio in that span is excellent, but he's given up eight homers. It's going to make for a tough call in the wild card game for the Nationals. Scherzer is the ace, but Stephen Strasburg and Patrick Corbin have both had better results of late.
The big reason I ask is the Nats final series would then impact the AL wild card
