I loved everything Pujols did in STL, but am sick and tired of Dam McGlaughlin slobbering all his dick. And Albert's wife saying the ovation was the most special thing of his career......bitch.

With all 5 teams in the NL Central losing last night nobody seems to want to take control of this division yet.

Waiting for the All-Star break to bust out, maybe.

Well, only 4 out of the 5 teams in the NL Central lost tonight so I guess we should all say congratulations to the Pirates since they won.

Back off, junior. :)

Can I be the home plate ump in the Pirates vs. Brewers series? You know I would have to call the balls and strikes in favor of the Pirates since the Brewers are ahead of us in the standings.

Reds are the best last place team in MLB. Im stitching the banner as we speak.

By far the Reds are the best last place team in MLB!

With that said, I don't think they are going to finish in last place with the great improvement they've shown since last year.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present your starting 1b for the St Louis Cardinals...with 31 RBI's at the halfway point, and 7 doubles with a sub 750 OPS and a 97 OPS+. Signed thru 2024 at $26 million a year:
Paul Coldshit!

Lest anyone think it will get better:

Last 30 games: 213/298/352
Last 15 games: 151/262/283
Last 7 games: 143/226/143

It seems like 'big' offseason pickups are pretty routinely busting in STL.

I'd still make the deal again. He'll hit his roll. I'm more troubled by the 3 years of Fowler. .233 during his time with the Cardinals. He's still making a couple million more than Goldy this season. I know 2 wrongs don't make it right, but at least Goldy can right his ship where as Fowler has been consistently bad for a few years.

I don't have a real problem with Goldsmidt. He will come around. His track record proves it. He seems to be pressing and like most STL hitters, letting hittable pitches go and geeting into a pitcher's count.
