Just looked at the standings. Fun race in this division so far

It's not a bad division either since four teams are playing well over .500 so far.

I think that they were hoping for another Andy Van Slyke.

After a dreadful start Carpenter is hitting .542 (13 for 24) in his last 6 games.

I hope Fowler and Wong are watching and learning!

And, Cardinals fans, how about 6-0 Mikolas going 9 full innings last night allowing only 4 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 9 strikeouts, and bringing his season ERA down to 2.24 even though I know I don't need to get too excited since he did all of this against the Royals.

Silly, Whatever the formula is that the Pirates are using is working so far so maybe you need to be happy right now with a manager that is doing what he is told to do.

Disrespect in the power rankings but I like it best to be the under dog. Basically tied for the best record in the National League and moved up in the rankings from 12th to 10th. Then since the rankings were made have taken a series for the second time in a week from AZ with 2 wins against them this week so far.

The pitching has been much better than expected 5th best ERA in all of baseball and the defense has made a significant improvement from the early weeks of the season

Folks, it's hard to be a Cardinals fan, it really is, but I continue to luv um and I always have.

Greg Holland's ERA is now 8.76 but Matheny continues to call on him in the late innings.

I never did give much credence to Power Rankings

Just keep winning each series and they'll be fine.
