Which is a huge reason why I hate inter-league.

Gotta hand it to you. That 3.47 ERA and 1.46 WHIP has got them shaking in their boots, but it's Cingrani's 0-3 record that really makes them nervous. You know - the CLUTCH stuff.

Everything I see from the Reds leads me to believe that they will contend for the worst record in baseball before this season is out because they'll trade the entire team away. The Reds are bad enough to be in the cellar in the NL East.

It's routine on sports message boards to speculate about the future. That's what I did on April 6 in that post. I speculated about the Reds season and Cingrani.

Not sure I would give up too much for a 2 month rental just to try and make a one game play in game. I think Price will come to Chicago next year, but Detroit will want a lot to give him up this year.

Yeah that's the conundrum. If we were a few games closer in the division I'd make that move but a 1 game playoff game may not be worth it. That said if you add a quality starter and can win the 1 gamer I'd put the Cubs starters up against just about anyone in a 7 game series. It's a tough call

True...Lester, Arietta, and Price would be a formidable challenger....I like it that the Cubs are becoming relevant again. Make baseball season a little more fun with the rivalry....Good Luck

I think it'll be interesting to see if Schwarber stays once Montero heals up. I consider it a no-brainer, but ya just never know.

The problem is, who do they take out? Montero is too valued on defense and Ross is needed for Lester.

We could put him in left but Coghlan is on fire. I guess we could replace Denorfia but he has been a solid, consistent bat for the Cubs
