Could be worse. We could have two playoff spots and one could win 95 games and miss, while an 87 win team could win another division.

The real shame is that the NL is going to have one really good team sitting out.

You've got the Dodgers, Cardinals, Pirates, Giants and Cubs and one of those teams isnt even going to make it in. It might be one of the better playoff chases in years because the Cardinals and Cubs are rivals, the Giants and Dodgers are rivals, the Cardinals have had success against the Dodgers and the Giants have had success against everyone.

You also have at least a 25% chance that the play in game is Cardinals vs Cubs and that would shut down the midwest.

Theres a very real possibility the 3rd place team in the Central could have the 3rd best record in the NL.

The Cubs have a lot of young bats right now. And it's been prone to going on a cold streak this year at times. Those guys need to be more consistent.

Yeah right after the break is huge for the Cubs too. Our first 17 games after the break are vs teams with losing records. Need to go 11-6/12-5 in those games. Cubs have the easiest schedule in baseball after the break 48 of their 75 games are against sub .500 teams

This is going to be a heck of a division to watch down the stretch, and in years ahead. All three of the teams at the top are good right now, have some youth elements on their 25-man rosters right now, and some serious depth and top talent in their farm systems.

I am totally with you. The guy will go to the mound, look great for like a batter and a half, but then it is all down hill form there. The guy is 30 years old so it is not like he is developing. He is what he is at this point. I say we scrap him and put in Rafael Soriano. Might not be perfect, but it is worth a shot

The Reds just may surprise some people. Neither Votto or Bruce were healthy last year. Bullpen will be improved simply by putting Cingrani there. He is gonna be a nasty set up guy for Chapman. I'm not saying they are going to be great, but I believe they will be better than most are giving them credit for.

Gotta hand it to you. That 3.47 ERA and 1.46 WHIP has got them shaking in their boots, but it's Cingrani's 0-3 record that really makes them nervous. You know - the CLUTCH stuff.
