They see Bosa as more a four down player than Dee Ford who has not been a good run defender throughout his career. Talk early this summer was about Thomas playing outside on run downs than shifting inside on obvious passing downs. I read other quotes from Saleh that stated they would mix it up and they would come up with different packages where Ford is in early downs. They do plan to rotate Dlinemen to keep them fresh so I would expect to see all throughout the game

It will be interesting to se if they can generate any kind of pass rush today.

49ers D can't get off the field. Bucs had the ball for 11 minutes in the first quarter alone and continue to take it to the niners in the second. The D will eventually wear down in this heat. especially without Alexander

Good to get a win and escape injuries for once assuming Gold is ok. Jimmy G was a mixed bag. Some good some bad. As a whole the offense looked rusty. Defense struggled against run in 2nd half

Extremely poor game from a fan perspective, but at least the right team came out with a win and hopefully no major injuries (Gould).

Bad playcalling, spotty QB play really stiffled the offense. The defense was really left out there, and did a good job overall. Of course, Jameis Winston helped out a lot. Nick Bosa is as advertised.

The one guy I was most impressed with was Witherspoon, but, good lord, you can't even enjoy the game because you have to hold your breath on every good play and hope you won't see a yellow flag pop up at the bottom of the screen. They are so undisciplined. 3 touchdowns called back for penalties

The O-Line being an issue shouldn't surprise anyone they only have two good players with one maybe average in Richburg and two poor in Tomlinson and Person next off-season they need.to improve the guard play.

I forgot about Coleman. I guess if they were going to lose someone, running back was the place they could most afford to lose someone. Yes, Witherspoon stood out yesterday. He looked great. Even when he was beaten it wasn't by much and he played against Mike Evans at times. The flags were ridiculous. Hopefully, it is early season rust.
