Niners D picking it up. Second three and out in a row in the 2nd half while the O has scored on both of their drives.
I was very impresed with the running game; Mostert is strong and Brieda is super quick. Wilson made the tough runs down close for scores. I'm glad they kept himVery solid win....back to back on the road. A lot of good in this game, but there are still issues:
The mistakes (penalties) are gonna kill this team....can't afford to take TD's off the board with some of that nonsense. Garoppolo was very sharp today, with the exception of that one int. Can't just toss it up in triple coverage, but hopefully with more games, he continues to get into a groove. Staley with a lower leg injury.....if he's out for an extended period of time, well....most of us know the lack of depth. The play-calling by Shanahan was really, REALLY solid - they did whatever they wanted to do against Cinci. He can just plug and play a ton of backs that can do damage - very impressive.
The defense did their job (they'll look statistically bad because of the garbage time TD with a lot of starters out.) Ford could've returned, so no problem with him sitting out. The rotation SF now has on their D-line will be a problem for opponents....and I can't wait to see Bosa on two ankles. Dude was all out.
Yep. That is a killer injury for the 49ers. Garoppolo better watch out.Broken fibula for Staley - out 8 weeks.
Damn shame.

On the Staley issue, isn't there some big name left tackle who is still holding out and wants to be traded? It could be the guy in Washington, maybe the Raiders, I can't remember.
So you are saying he'd fit right in on the 49ers?Yes Washington but I think he is injury prone.
Just glad you don't have any of those guys anymore. Your current teams seems manageable. lol The 80's team was ridiculous. I couldn't wait for Montana and Rice to retire, and then we had to deal with Young and Owens! Damn it. Just continue to be normal for a little bit!
