First goal for the Jackets this year on a beauty deflection. Welcome to town, sonny boy.

Bobrovsky on the other hand let the first shot he faced in from 55 feet. He also gave up a goal on a backhand that would have had more velocity if it was smacked with a wet noodle.

You take the good, you take the bad. you take them both and there you have...

The Jackets Suck.

I'll be honest with you, I love the way he plays. I do. I'm a Nick Foligno fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he's out there scoring goals.

So tell me. What's your favorite goal of his?

Artem Anisimov is an unholy beast.

mmmm. Nah. Doesn't quite work. But he did just score a ridiculous backhander while a Preds d-man was trying to make sweet, sweet love to him. But what has impressed me most is when they cut to a shot of the bench, he is chatting it up, giving high fives and showing energy.

Nicky almost had a second, BTW.

And the Jackets have shown, at least in this game, that they aren't going to back down or take any shit. Boll and Dorsett have had fights and Dorsett absolutely crushed the poor guy who went against him. Boll demolished a guy with an open ice hit and then he beat on Weber and get him off the ice for 7 minutes.

Oh, and I wasn't sure about keeping John Moore over David Savard. Figured he must have done something special in camp. I think I see what that is now...

Might not be as bad as it seems on paper. Nick - Vinnyclav - Ryjo is a solid line. I'd like to see a winger more talented than Dorsett with Anisimov and Dubinski. Or better yet, two wingers more talented than Dubinski and Dorsett with Anisimov...

So, Flyer fans, does Bobrovsky ever stop fading between ne0 stopping bullets he doesn't see and "drunken flamingo"? Or am I going to have to invest in heart medicine?

The Jackets are going to be improved this year.

I've always thought that Nash was overrated. For sure I think the BJs could have got more for him (he's a very good player just not a franchise one).

I think with their moves they got better though. They're deep at forward and they got that depth without gutting their D. Not a playoff team, I don't think, but they're better than last year.

Atkinson - Brassard - Umberger
Dubinski - Anisimov - ??
Foligno - Johansen - Prospal
Dorsett - Boll - Mackenzie

That could do.

Well, they sure are going to work hard. Anisimov has ridiculous hands. The backhander in the shootout was better than the one in the game.

Shoulda been 2-0 after regulation. Guess Bobrovsky was nervous at first because those two were stinkers. But he sure settled down and played well.

Red Wings Monday. And I understand they did not look good tonight.

Looks like the Jackets made out in that deal.

We traded him to you because our work was done.

What work is that? Taunting him to the point of making him a basket case and making him fear anything that smells of cheez wiz?

This is what he reminded me of in the first:
