During pre-game warmups for Northwestern, Pelini, Reeves, and Sterup were out on the field before anyone else. I found that interesting. I had not seen that previously at the other away games I have attended.

(I think it was Sterup, I know the other two were Pelini and Reeves)

Sterup is hard to miss. Pretty observant of you though.

Sterup made an absolute fool of himself at MSU.

Interesting how his absence combined with Pelini's resulted in 95% of our points against NW.

You can't judge them on just one game/half/series, but god damn do they look better.

Reeves looks like an actual Nebraska center. Pelini looks like a fucking hobbit.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the light turned on for these more talented players that the favoritism from this shitty fucking staff wasn't going to last much longer and they turned it on in bye week practice.

Also Jake Cotton can watch the rest of this season from the fucking bench. He shouldn't even be allowed to travel with the team. What a waste of a scholarship. Sam Cotton's fucking awful as well. It was his fault Ameer was blown up on that big hit. You saw him yelling at him.

Cotton family=Cancer

Jake is good for one bonehead play a game, but solid B otherwise, and we don't have anything better

Reeves is the first center we've had that isn't 100 lbs underweight and a foot too short in Pelini's tenure.. I hope he plays

Chongo/Price are NASTY.. makes ya wonder if there's OL racism goin on

Lewis is a good player/solid starter, but not as good as the hype

I loved when Givens-Price went down and Armstrong pulled him up. I didn't see it but the announcer said that was what happened and it tells you a lot. He played out the rest of the series and they scored.

I'mma be rooting for MGP and Kondolo the rest of the year. They want it more.

So is Cotton. He should be stripped of that C

Ain't gonna happen. That C is for the scrap-book. His kids and grand-kids will be proud of that C.

Not to stick on a subject but it really was awesome when you saw MGP get rolled up on a bit and apparently Armstrong came over and pulled him up. Then I saw Chongo slappin hands with him like "let's fucking go, this is our time". If i'm a coach that kinda thing means a whole lot more than "execution" in practice and "the process".

Those guys need to play EVERY game from here on out so they can get better and better together.

I saw that.

Also, Price was on the sidelines doing what Jake Cotton is supposed to be doing.....leading the team. 2nd half against NW he was over there in everyone's faces including Tommy's.....telling them what's about to go down.

About that time Ameer started reeling off nice runs, and had his big one.

See, it doesn't take a special character to be a leader. It takes a person with half a brain, and some balls. You gotta have balls, or you're nothing at all.

Sometimes you have to look to your backup players to find it. Sometimes it's a diamond in the rough. Try 'em all out, and find your gems.

That is my biggest criticism of this coaching staff. Thank God they finally buckled on Saturday and tried some things.
