Toronto was in the west for 17 years. Pittsburgh (and later Tampa and Miami) is farther west than Toronto and they were in the east.Canucks' first four years, they played in the Eastern Division
Hell of a weekend home and home.Minnesota and Dallas bitching about travel when Montreal and Vancouver are 2,800 miles apart and in the same division is funny.
I especially liked when they just dumped all of the first expansion teams into one conference.Toronto was in the west for 17 years. Pittsburgh (and later Tampa and Miami) is farther west than Toronto and they were in the east.
The NHL was not good at setting divisions/conferences back then. They kinda nailed it with the more recent alignments and scheduling which is maybe why those teams are being babies about it - got too used to living in luxury!

"you guys are shit, don't waste our time. Figure out one team to send to the finals and we will squash them"
starting in 1968, St Louis Blues made it the the finals three years in a row, and didn't win a single game,
scored a total of 14 goals in the 12 games.
Ever walk through the Othello tunnels outside Hope?On that note, one train ride I hope to do one day is Calgary to Vancouver where the train goes through the Rocky Mountains via the spiral tunnels.

Yah there were first blood scenes shot in the tunnels too ... cabin in the woods used the tunnels too which is appropriate since they are kinda freaky as fuck to walk through even in summer daylight lolNo, I have not - Hope was where "First Blood" was shot, right?
If ever in north GA and like kayaking.Yah there were first blood scenes shot in the tunnels too ... cabin in the woods used the tunnels too which is appropriate since they are kinda freaky as fuck to walk through even in summer daylight lol
This would be cool. Cross country from MTL though, not so much. The prairies was bad enough driving through. Maybe the rails through northern Ontario would be nice though (the drive between the Soo and Thunder Bay was gorgeous). On that note, one train ride I hope to do one day is Calgary to Vancouver where the train goes through the Rocky Mountains via the spiral tunnels.
